A single vehicle accident in Tuscola County early Sunday morning claimed the life of a 27-year old Mayville man while a 28-year old Mayville woman sustained non-life threatening injuries.
The crash happened Fremont Township around 2 a.m. according to Michigan State Police.
Troopers from the Caro post were called to the corner of Schott and Snover Road where they found the male subject deceased at the scene.
The 28-year old female was transported to a local hospital for treatment of her injuries. Investigators say alcohol and/or drugs do not appear to be a contributing factor in the accident.
Troopers were assisted by Mayville EMS and fire department and MMR.
