(SANILAC COUNTY) – A two-vehicle crash Wednesday evening in Sanilac County sent three people to area hospitals.
According to the Sanilac County Sheriff Department, deputies responded just before 9 p.m. to a two vehicle collision on Washington Road west of Old 51 in Sanilac County’s Washington Township.
Investigators say a Chevy Trailblazer, driven by a 25-year-old Peck female was traveling east on Washington Road and lost control, due to icy road conditions.
She entered the westbound lane, crashing into a Chevy S-10 pickup, driven by a 67-year-old Deckerville man.
Deputies say alcohol was not a factor in the collision and all occupants were reported to be wearing seat belts.
The driver of the Trailblazer and a 24-year-old female passenger, also from Peck, were transported by Sanilac EMS to McKenzie hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
The driver of the Chevy S-10 was transported to Port Huron McLaren Hospital for treatment.
Deputies were assisted by the Michigan State Police and the Carsonville Fire Department.
