Area roadwork moving forward

Despite the on-going Coronavirus pandemic, paving work is proceeding throughout the listening area, including Tuscola County. According to officials from the Michigan Department of Transportation, a stretch of M-46 near Vassar is slated to be re-paved yet this month with work expected to be finished by July. Also scheduled to be improved is a carpool lot at the corner of M-46 and Hurds Corner. The nearly $4 million dollar project will resurface a total of 17 miles of roadway in Tuscola and Genesee counties. In Sanilac County, paving is still expected to be done on a stretch of Ruth Road from the north Deckerville village limits north to the County Line.
