Tired of being couped up and everything being cancelled throughout the area due to the COVID-19 outbreak, some organizers in Port Sanilac have decided they are not going to let a holiday weekend slip by without some celebrating.
On Saturday, between 3 and 3:30, Lake Street will come alive with folks dancing in the streets.
A vehicle from Archie Thomas Real Estate will be blarring music while curious onlookers are asked to bust their favorite moves in their front yards.
Organizers say they want to give back to the community and will be awarding a $50 gift card to the Blue Water Sports Bar & Grill to the dancers who went all out while another $50 gift card to the Stone Lodge Restaurant will go to another lucky winner that didn’t hold anything back.
Folks who don’t live along Lake Street are encouraged to join in on the fun in the area of the Harbor Park and are welcome to line up along the Harbor park fence, the park across from the lighthouse, or anywhere in between houses that keeps everyone 6′ apart and wear a mask if you can.
The event will start at the north end of Lake Street at 3:00 p.m.
