(CARSONVILLE) – Country music legend Garth Brooks has announced plans to stage a concert that will be screened at 300 drive-in theaters across North America.
Eight Michigan drive-in theaters, including the Hi-Way Drive-In near Carsonville, are among those participating in the original show created exclusively for the once-in-a-lifetime event on Saturday, June 27.
Michigan theaters screening the concert include the Ford Wyoming Drive-In in Dearborn, Highway 2 Drive-In in Manistique, Capri Drive-in in Coldwater, US 23 Drive-In Theater in Flint, Hi-Way Drive-In in Carsonville, Five Mile Drive-In in Dowagiac, Getty 4 Drive-in in Muskegon and the Sunset Drive-In in Hartford.
Tickets for the drive-in concert event will go on sale at noon on Friday, June 19 via Ticketmaster.
Tickets are general admission and of limited availability – each ticket will admit one passenger car or truck…and events will take place rain or shine starting at dusk.
The show will adhere to guidelines recommended by the CDC as well as all state and local health mandates, according to a news release.
