The Sandusky Chamber of Commerce recently presented their awards for 2019, honoring several individuals and organizations.
With over 300 people voting on the awards, Rick Pangburn, the 2019 Chamber of Commerce Citizen of the Year is often seen throughout the area involved with the American Legion, Custer Masonic Lodge, kids events and more, lending a helping hand when needed.
State Representative Shane Hernandez presented a state tribute in honor of Rick’s dedication and years of service to the community.
Pangburn piled up over 100 votes to win the award.
Business of the Year honors went to popular Sandusky restaraunt Bob and Jamie’s who amassed 167 votes while the Goodtimers Club was named the top Civic Organization of the Year with 82 votes.
Congratulations also goes to the students of Sandusky High School’s National Honor Society, winners of the Youth Organization of the Year, piling up 225 votes.
