(THUMB REGION) – The numbers of COVID 19 continue to spiral out of control, both locally and throughout the State heading into the Thanksgiving holiday.
In Sanilac County, health officials are reporting 608 cases according to State records, with 180 active cases and 11 deaths since the start of the pandemic.
Huron County is reporting 547 cases with 13 deaths while Tuscola County has had 1,398 cases and 50 deaths since the start of the virus earlier this year.
Lapeer County is closing in on 2,000 cases, with 1,833 cases and 48 deaths and St. Clair County officials have repoerted 3,450 cases and 76 deaths.
Statewide, health officials say more than 320,000 cases have been reported since the start of COVID-19 with over 8,600 deaths.
