COVID UPDATE -Thursday 12-3 9:00 a.m.
Health officials across the region are growing more and more concerned with the rampant spread of COVID-19.
In a three-county region of Sanilac, Tuscola and Huron counties, there have been over 3,200 cases since the start of the virus.
Sanilac County, health officials are now reporting 888 cases and 15 deaths since the start of the pandemic. In the past 60 days, Sanilac County reports a spike of 700 cases.
Huron County is reporting 744 cases and 15 deaths while Tuscola County has 1,676 cases, and 58 deaths since the start of the virus earlier this year.
Lapeer County now has over 2,439 cases, and 58 deaths and St. Clair County officials have reported nearly 4,300 cases and 100 deaths.
Statewide, officals are reporting over 373,000 cases since the virus started and more than 9,400 deaths.
