(SANILAC COUNTY) – One person was injured in a two-vehicle collision in Sanilac County’s Fremont Township Sunday morning.
According to the Sanilac County Sheriff Department, Central Dispatch received a call regarding the crash at the intersection of Galbraith Line and Todd Rd. in Fremont Township.
Investigators say a 23-year-old female from Grand Blanc was driving south on Todd Rd., north of E. Galbraith Line Rd. in a 2011 Ford Edge along with a 24-year-old male passenger, also from Grand Blanc.
The driver failed to stop for the stop sign at the intersection of Todd and Galbraith Line, striking a 2012 Chevrolet Traverse that was headed west on E. Galbraith Line Rd. that was making a turn south on Todd Rd.
That vehicle was being operated by a 36-year-old female from Croswell.
The 36-year-old female from Croswell was transported to Port Huron McLaren Hospital by Croswell EMS for treatment of injuries.
It’s believed all subjects were wearing seatbelts and airbags did deploy.
Deputies say alcohol or drugs do not appear to be a factor in the crash.
The 23-year-old female from Grand Blanc was cited as a result of the crash.
