McKenzie Health System has begun renovations in the main entrance of the hospital along with the emergency department. The improvements, focusing on patient safety, are made possible with funds received as part of Covid-19 relief funding. During construction there will be temporary changes in how visitors will access the hospital. The main entrance driveway and the parking area directly in front of the hospital will be closed. New signage is in place to help direct visitors and emergency vehicles to the appropriate entrances. Hospital President and CEO Steve Barnett said the construction will take several months with hopes of having as little disruption of day-to-day operations as possible. Anyone with concerns or questions about accessing the hospital can call the hospital’s main number.
