CPS schools adding new technology

School districts throughout the state have had to adapt to the life of technology, including virtual learning due to COVID-19. Carsonville-Port Sanilac is among many who have updated their technology. At a recent meeting, the Board of Education approved the purchase of 60 more Chromebooks, allowing all students to have the same type of Chromebook.
Also at the meeting, the board gave approval to hire a full-time technology person who will help develop an expanded summer program to help students who are lagging behind in their classes to catch up. The board also learned from their administrative team that the February student count was held and the district realized 48 more students over the previous count day, leaving the district with 398 students.
