Officials in Lapeer are planning on holding several events this summer, some of which were cancelled last year due to COVID-19 issues. Leading the way for special events in Lapeer is the Lapeer Car Cruise, scheduled for May 3rd and will continue throughout the summer every Monday evening from 5 to 9 p.m. A new event, Lapeer Night Bikes, will fill downtown every Friday evening starting June 3rd and running through late September. A popular event, the Summer Concert Series, is set to kick-off in June on Thursday evenings. Sidewalk sales are also being planned, for select weekends, throughout the summer. Officials say all events have been penciled in and they will be aware of the latest restrictions concerning COVID-19 issues.
