(ST CLAIR COUNTY) – The Port Huron Police Department recently conducted a compliance operation focusing on underage sales of vaping and tobacco products to minors.
During the operation Thursday, police sent underage decoys into 34 Port Huron businesses.
Of the businesses checked, 31 were found to be in compliance by refusing to sell vaping/tobacco products to the underage decoys.
Three establishments were not in compliance and were cited for selling vaping products to a minor including the Krogers on Kraft Road, the Marathon Station on Military Street and Meharg’s Pit Stop on Pine Grove Ave.
Police have said they will continue to randomly select businesses to check for compliance.
Anyone with information on illegal sales of vaping, tobacco, or alcohol to minors can call the Port Huron Police Department.
