A St. Clair County jury needed just a few hours to return a verdict in a murder case earlier this week.
The jury found Joshua Bauman guilty of killing off-duty Port Huron Police Lt. Joel Wood and shooting his estranged wife and her neighbor.
The verdict was announced shortly before 10 a.m. Wednesday after jurors began their deliberations late Tuesday.
Bauman was found guilty of first-degree premeditated murder, two counts of assault with intent to murder, first-degree home invasion and felony firearms.
St. Clair County Circuit Court Judge Michael West scheduled Bauman for a sentencing hearing May 12th.
Bauman faces a penalty of life in prison without parole.
