(SANILAC COUNTY) – A 50-year old Snover man passed away over the weekend after being involved in a rollover accident.
According to the Sanilac County Sheriff Department, emergency crews responded to a report of a vehicle in the ditch around 9 a.m. Sunday.
Deputies responded to an overturned vehicle in a ditch on Shabbona Road near Merriman Road in Wheatland Township.
Deputies, along with Sanilac EMS, Deckerville Fire Department, and Argyle Fire Department all responded to the scene.
Deputies say the Snover man was traveling west on Shabbona Road and left the roadway entering the ditch on the north side of the road.
The vehicle overturned and landed upside down in a deep ditch filled with water.
The male was pronounced dead at the scene. Airbags did not deploy, and seat belt use is unknown.
The incident remains under investigation.
