(LAPEER COUNTY) – Michigan State Police and the Lapeer County Sheriff’s Department are investigating a report of a 15-year-old girl being stabbed multiple times at Rotary Park in Lapeer.
Police say the stabbing happened on Tuesday, around 5 p.m. Police say the teen was transported to Lapeer McLaren Hospital for her injuries and was listed in stable condition.
According to police, a 14-year-old girl from the Lapeer area was located following the incident and is allegedly responsible for stabbing the 15-year-old victim.
Police say the two girls had agreed to meet at the park where a physical altercation allegedly began, resulting in the 15-year-old receiving multiple stab wounds.
The case remains under investigation and possible charges are still pending.
