(ST. CLAIR COUNTY) – A Port Huron teen is expected to face charges after an alleged drive-by shooting in Port Huron on Friday.
Port Huron Police said that officers responded to a report of a drive-by shooting shortly after 10:30 p.m. in the 3100 block of South Boulevard.
The homeowner, a 30-year-old man, had caught the drive-by on his home video surveillance and it indicated what sounded like a 32-caliber rifle shooting at the home.
Police found damage to the home’s siding but did not find bullets.
Through an investigation they discovered the man had also previously had a dispute with a 17-year-old who lives in the 3100 block of North Boulevard.
Several people believed to be in the vehicle were questioned and investigators believe the teen shot the house with a high-powered air rifle.
Port Huron Police Department said the 17-year-old was arrested and is expected to be charged for the discharge of a pneumatic weapon from a vehicle and malicious destruction of property.
The teen had been released to family. The case will be reviewed by the St. Clair County Prosecutor’s Office.
