Sanilac County youth involved in showing cattle had a solid two days of competition last week, bringing home several top honors.
The youth joined others from the area by competing in the 29th annual Thumb Jackpot Beef Show April 16th and 17th and in the Paul DeLong Memorial Show on April 18th, at the Eastern Michigan Fairgrounds in Imlay City.
At the Thumb Jackpot show, Brady Sharbowski of Palms was the overall Grand Champion winner, Maddy Garza also of Palms was third overall, Emma Noll of Croswell was fourth overall and Brandi Flynn of Marlette placed fifth overall.
In the Paul DeLong show, Sharbowski was once again Grand Champion overall, Flynn was third overall with Market Beef while Garza was fourth overall in the Market Beef class.
The youth continue to work with their livestock projects, hoping fairs and other shows in the area will allow them to continue to have success in the show ring.
