(ST. CLAIR COUNTY) – A 58 year old Kenockee Township man was killed in an ATV crash Saturday in Greenwood Township.
Deputies from the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to Metcalf Road and Duce Road shortly before 3:00 p.m.
When they arrived, deputies discovered that Walter Cowhy had been driving his Polaris side by side ATV westbound on Metcalf Road.
The vehicle ran off the road to the right, overcorrected and overturned just west of Duce Road. Both Walter and his passenger, 52 year old Kimberly Cowhy were ejected from the ATV.
Walter died from his injuries. Kimberly was transported by Tri-Hospital EMS to McLaren Port Huron Hospital for undisclosed injuries.
Brockway Township Fire and Rescue also assisted at the scene of the crash, which remains under investigation.
