(SANILAC COUNTY) – Two men sustained injuries early Saturday morning in Sanilac County’s Watertown Township.
Around 7 a.m. Sanilac County Sheriff Deputies responded to a report of a one-vehicle crash on Miller Road.
Deputies say a 2004 Mercury Mountaineer was westbound on Miller Road, left the roadway, entered the ditch, striking struck a tree.
The driver, a 29-year-old Sandusky man, and his passenger, a 28-year-old De Witt man, had to be freed from the vehicle by the Sandusky fire department’s Jaws of Life.
The victims were treated by Sanilac EMS and Sandusky Fire before being transported to McKenzie Health System for further treatment.
The crash remains under investigation, and deputies say alcohol was a factor in the incident.
