Sandusky man sustains serious injuries in crash

(AREA) – Tuscola County Sheriff Department deputies and other rescue personnel responded to the scene of a motorcycle accident late Friday that left a Sandusky man with critical injuries.
According to investigators, deputies responded to Kingston Road, between Mayville and Marlette Rds for a motorcycle personal injury crash just before 8:30 a.m.
Deputies say investigation and witness statements indicate that a 36-year old Sandusky man was northbound on Kingston Rd., travelling with three other motorcycles who were following two passenger vehicles.
The 36-year old attempted to pass both vehicles, when the second vehicle also went into the southbound lane in an attempt to pass the lead vehicle.

The man was transported by Marlette EMS to Marlette Hospital and later flown by Life Net Helicopter to Hurley Medical Center for further treatment.
Deputies say he was listed in “critical condition” with numerous severe injuries.
The incident remains under investigation.
