(AREA) – Some fair-ly good news to report today. After COVID forced the cancellation of 4-H fairs throughout the state last year, many mid to late summer events are going on as planned this year.
Some earlier scheduled fairs had been postponed, but locally, at a recent Sanilac County 4-H Fairboard meeting, members discussed and eventually voted to move forward with the in-person 2021 Sanilac County Fair.
Members say they are looking forward to having all exhibitors back to participate in the fair this year that will once again feature grandstand shows and a thrilling midway.
Meanwhile, in St. Clair County, fair organizers are also moving forward with their plans for a in-person, full fair event, complete with youth animal exhibits, entertainment and of course all of the popular fair food that will all be available July 19-24 at the Goodells County Park.
Elsewhere, in Macomb County, the popular Armada Fair, one of the largest community fairs in the area, will return as will the Huron County Fair in Bad Axe.
Officials in Genesee County have also decided to proceed with their summer event. Check back for fair schedules of local fairs in the coming weeks.
