A two-vehicle crash in Sanilac County’s Speaker Township Saturday morning sent one person to the hospital.
Sanilac County Sheriff Deputies report around 7:30 a.m. they received a call regarding a two-vehicle injury traffic crash on Brockway Rd. near Mortimer Line Rd., in Speaker Township.
Investigators say a 22-year-old Richmond man was traveling north on Brockway Rd. in a 2020 Dodge Ram.
A 69-year-old Peck woman was following the first vehicle, also traveling north in a 2017 Chevrolet Traverse when the first vehicle slowed down and attempted a U-Turn in front of the second vehicle.
Deputies say the second vehicle struck the vehicle attempting a U-Turn.
The Peck woman was taken to McKenzie Hospital in Sandusky by Marlette EMS for treatment of injuries.
Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts and airbags on both vehicles deployed, according to deputies.
The Richmond man attempting to make the U-Turn was cited for the violation.
