The Croswell-Lexington school board recently completed their evaluation of Superintendent Dan Gilbertson and are pleased with what they have seen of their district leader. Gilbertson received the highest possible score in being evaluated, receiving a very effective rating. The board used an evaluation process used across the state by other boards, a form developed by the Michigan Association of School Boards with five categories that give half of the final rating. Also considered is required student data and based on district goals. Gilbertson, who has served as Superintendent for the past four years, scored 93% from the board members who said their Superintendent has been doing an outstanding job in leading the district. Despite the high marks, Gilbertson realizes there are other goals and accomplishments the entire district will keep striving for including student test scores and financial stability.
