Sanilac deputies respond to multiple accidents during holiday weekend

The Sanilac County Sheriff Department continues to investigate numerous reports of accidents over the Holiday Weekend, including a incident involving two ATVs in Forester Township Saturday night.
Deputies also responded to two other accidents including a motorcycle – deer accident and a rollover accident. In their investigations, deputies say a Yamaha four-wheeler driven by a 15-year-old male from Deckerville was traveling east on a private trail with a 21-year-old female passenger from Naples, Florida.
The Yamaha collided with a westbound Honda four-wheeler driven by a 14-year-old female from Clinton Township traveling with an 8-year-old female passenger from Warren.
The 21-year-old female passenger of the Yamaha and 14-year-old female driver of the Honda were both transported to Deckerville Community Hospital for treatment of their injuries.
Also, on Saturday morning, two people were injured when their vehicle left the roadway and went in to a ditch, rolling over in Buel Township.
Deputies say a 2001 Chevy Silverado driven by a 22-year-old male from Croswell was traveling east on Harrington Road when the vehicle went on to the north shoulder, causing the driver to lose control and enter a ditch where the vehicle rolled over.
A 27-year-old male passenger from Carsonville was transported by Croswell EMS to Port Huron McLaren for treatment of his injuries. The 22-year-old male driver was transported to McKenzie Hospital by Croswell EMS.
Alcohol was believed to have been a factor in the cash.
Saturday evening, two Croswell people were treated at a local hospital following a motorcycle – deer crash.
According to the Sanilac County Sheriff Department, Deputies responded to the scene near the intersection of Marlette and Shephard Roads in Flynn Township for a one-vehicle crash.
According to deputies, a 2020 Harley Davidson Street Glide driven by a 21-year-old Croswell man was traveling east on Marlette Road when the motorcycle struck a deer in the roadway. The motorcycle then laid down on its left side and skidded into the south ditch.
The 21-year-old male and a 20-year-old Croswell woman fell off the motorcycle and landed in the roadway. Both riders were transported to Marlette Regional Hospital by Marlette EMS for treatment of their injuries.
Deputies say alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
