(SANILAC COUNTY) – The Sanilac County Sheriff Department was kept busy over the Fourth of July weekend, handling 114 calls for service.
Deputies made thirteen arrests stemming from various incidents as well as initiating 50 traffic stops with 3 citations and 45 verbal warnings being issued.
The Sheriff’s Office Corrections Division booked fifteen subjects into the jail stemming from arrests by Deputies and other police agencies throughout the County and the Courts.
Meanwhile, the County’s Marine Division was on the water over the holiday weekend patrolling the Lake Huron waterways from vessels stationed in Port Sanilac and Lexington Harbors.
The Marine Division responded to just one complaint and stopped four vessels for various boating violations.
Sheriff Department officials say there were no water related injuries reported and no citations issued.
