(SANILAC COUNTY) – Two people were arrested in Sanilac County following a traffic stop by the Drug Task Force Team.
According to DTF Director Jim Johnson, team members stopped a vehicle around 11 a.m. Monday on Farr Road in Elk Township, east of Peck.
Johnson says the traffic stop resulted in the seizure of crystal methamphetamine, cash and a fully loaded-uncased firearm.
The occupants of the vehicle, a 28-year old Croswell man and a 23-year old Port Huron female were arrested and lodged at the Sanilac County Jail pending arraignment that is expected to take place Wednesday.
Johnson said both subjects could be facing multiple charges stemming from the traffic stop and the drugs and weapon found.
The Drug Task Force and Drug Task Force K-9 unit were assisted on scene by the Sanilac County Sheriff’s Office.
