(SANILAC COUNTY) – A Yale woman sustained injuries in a motorcycle – deer crash in Sanilac County’s Speaker Township Monday afternoon.
According to the Sanilac County Sheriff Department, just before 1 p.m., Sanilac County Central Dispatch received a call regarding a single-vehicle traffic crash on Brockway Road near Sheridan Line Road, about a mile south of Peck.
Investigation showed that a 71-year-old Yale woman was riding her 2006 Harley Davidson motorcycle south on Brockway
Road when she struck a deer.
The woman, who deputies say was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, was ejected from the motorcycle as a result of the crash.
Deputies were assisted at the scene by Tri-Hospital EMS and Speaker Township Fire Department.
The woman was taken to Port Huron McLaren Hospital by Tri Hospital EMS for treatment of injuries.
