Huron County authorities are investigating the death of a Sanilac County man in an accident that happened early Monday morning.
According to Huron County Sheriff Kelly Hanson, the 69-year old Austin Township man was found dead in a woods after he attempted to pull a cut piece of dead Ash with a tractor and while doing so, a snag occurred and the man caught a standing dead Ash, which in turn fell on him and the tractor.

Sheriff Hanson said it is unknown exactly when the accident occurred Sunday, possibly mid-day.
An autopsy has been ordered to assist in the investigation.
