(SANILAC COUNTY) – A 64-year old Croswell man sustained injuries Tuesday around 4 p.m. in Buel Township.
Sanilac County Central Dispatch received a 9-1-1 call reporting an overturned backhoe with a subject pinned underneath it on Wagner Road and Harrington Road in Buel Township on private property.
Deputies along with the Croswell Fire Department and Croswell EMS were dispatched to the scene.
Deputies’ initial investigation revealed that the 64-year-old Croswell man was operating a backhoe with another 64-year-old Croswell man.
The backhoe over turned in a ditch and the rider became pinned underneath the backhoe.
The operator quickly was able to call for help and use other equipment to free the man with Croswell Fire and EMS.
The injured man was taken by Croswell EMS to Port Huron McLaren Hospital. The Croswell Police Department assisted on the scene.
