()SANILAC COUNTY) – Multiple vehicles were damaged and two people were transported to the hospital following a bizarre incident in the Walmart parking lot in Sandusky over the weekend.
Sanilac County Sheriff Deputies responded to the Walmart parking lot around 11:30 a.m. Sunday after receiving a call regarding a truck that had struck multiple vehicles.

For reasons that are still being investigated, the male subject went around a parking aisle near the west entrance and proceeded to strike a vehicle, causing a chain reaction with seven additional vehicles in two separate aisles being struck.
During the chain reaction crash a 56-year-old Melvin man was injured as he was loading groceries into his vehicle. No other injuries were reported.
The 61-year-old driver of the pickup, and the 56-year-old Melvin man, were transported to McKenzie Health System for treatment.
Deputies say the investigation is ongoing and the report will be forwarded to the Prosecutor’s Office for review upon its completion.
Names are not being released, due to the on-going investigation.
