(SANILAC COUNTY) – After the most recent report from the Sanilac County Health Department that showed a dramatic spike in COVID cases in the county, officials now report for the most recent reporting time frame – from January 24th to 30th, there were 238 confirmed cases reported, nearly a 200 person drop from the last report.
The numbers do not include any home tests that were administered and came back positive.
31 to 60 year olds continue to show the largest count of cases with a combined total of 113 positive cases.
There were 33 cases in school age children ages 1 – 18, 71 cases in those ages 23 to 40 and another 102 positive cases in those ages 41-70.
By community, after a spike of over 80 cases in the last report, Sandusky had 41 cases, Croswell had 34 cases and Marlette reported 29.
Applegate had 18 positive cases, Snover 17 while Brown City and Peck had 16 each.
There were two new COVID fatalities in the county, raising the total to 161 deaths in Sanilac County since the start of the virus.
