(SANILAC COUNTY) – COVID-19 cases remain on a downward trend in Sanilac County, based on reporting from the Sanilac County Health Department.
In their most recent update, released Monday, the health department is reporting new 123 cases during the time period of February 7th thru the 13th.
The number of cases this month have been steadily declining, after record high numbers in January. Of the 123 new positive cases 61 to 70 years old had 21 cases while 51 to 60 year olds had 20 new cases reported. 31 to 50 year olds had a combined total of 35 new cases while school age children 1 to 18 had 11 cases.
Health department officials report just one new death, leaving the county with 164 cases since the start of the virus.
By community, Sandusky continues to have the highest rate, with 36 cases while Marlette had 12, Croswell 11 and Deckerville and Carsonville reported 10 apiece.
The test results do not include those who used home testing and had positive results.
As a county, Sanilac has reported more than 7,200 positive cases of COVID since the start of the virus and had 164 deaths.
