Early morning on April 30, Sanilac County Sheriff deputies responded to a triggered home breaking and entering alarm on Brady Road in Wheatland Township.
Upon arrival to the home that Saturday, deputies checked the property, finding a car hiding behind some equipment on the property. Deputies requested scene assistance from the K-9 unit, with Deputy Josh James and K-9 Deputy Phoenix later conducting a building search. They managed to sniff out two men, a 31-year-old from St. Clair and a 53-year-old from Fort Gratiot, hiding in the building.
Both men were taken into custody and lodged at the Sanilac County Jail for several felony charges related to the situation.
