A Lake Township resident got a surprise last night when a random man walked into their home, uninvited and unknown.
Huron County deputies responded at 10:15 p.m. last night to a Port Austin Road home, where residents had recorded the illegal entry. The man had left when ordered by the residents, and through the given description and video, one of the deputies recognized the suspect to be the same man he had seen walking along M-25 just a half hour earlier.
Deputies later found and identified the man as 43-year-old Adam J. Connell from Ypsilanti, taking him into custody for illegal entry. Connell, who is believed to be homeless and recently arrived to Caseville, was formally charged and arraigned on the misdemeanor charge, and at press time, remains lodged in the Huron County Jail, awaiting bail.
