St. Clair Drug Task Force arrests drug dealer, seizes over $25k in meth

The St. Clair County Drug Task Force concluded a narcotics investigation yesterday that yield over $25,000 in street value of methamphetamine.
While on the way to serve a search warrant at the 3600 block of Myrtle in Burtchville Township, DTF agents saw the case’s main suspect leaving the address on a motorcycle and conducted a traffic stop to take the 46-year-old man into custody. A search of the motorcycle found $2,500 in cash and methamphetamine. The officers executed the search warrant as planned on the residence, coming out with more methamphetamine, packing and weighing materials, two long guns and ammunition. In all, 450 grams of methamphetamine were found during the search.
The suspect is currently lodged in St. Clair County Jail awaiting arraignment on the following charges: possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, maintaining a drug house, being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition, and driving with his license suspended, all enhanced to by being a 4th habitual offender. St. Clair County’s Special Response Team and K-9 unit, as well as the U.S. border patrol’s K-9, assisted the drug task force with the arrest and investigation.
