The Saint Clair County Drug Task Force had a busy couple of days last week due to two arrests following traffic stops.
Alton Williams of Port Huron was arraigned Friday on posession of a controlled substance, possession with intent to distribute, maintaining a drug house, possessing ammunition as a felon, and being a habitual offender, third offense. His charges stem from his arrest on Wednesday, when St. Clair County Drug Task Force agents conducted a traffic stop that was followed by a search warrant for Williams’ home.
At the home in the 200 block of 15th Street, agents found cocaine, packaging materials, a loaded pistol magazine and drug paraphernalia, all of which were seized. His bond is set at $50,000.
On Thursday, the drug task force arrested a 37-year-old Marysville man after a traffic stop found the suspect with a “dealer’s quantity of methamphetamine.” When they later executed the search warrant at the Mack Avenue home, DTF agents found more methamphetamine, as well as packaging materials and drug paraphernalia.
With the suspect being already on probation for previously dealing meth, he is currently lodged at the St. Clair County Jail to face arraignment on possession of a controlled substance, possession with intent to distribute, and running a drug house.
