No injuries were reported following a traffic accident in Ellington Township on Tuesday, September 13, that saw a semi-truck overturn while traveling on Deckerville Road.
The 2016 Kenworth semi truck was being driven east around 3:16 p.m. by a 29-year-old Pinconning man and carrying 50 tons of salt between the two trailers, when a white pickup truck heading west entered the semi’s lane. The semi driver attempted to avoid the pickup by swerving, but instead, the vehicle lost control as the rear trailer jack-knifed. The semi truck entered the south ditch and overturned, losing its cargo as the pickup truck continued on.
The Tuscola Sheriff’s Office is urging anyone with information on the white pickup truck to please contact Deputy Ryan Herford by emailing him at rherford@tuscolacounty.org or submitting a tip via the form on their website, tuscolacounty.org/sheriff.
