McKenzie Foundation’s September fundraising campaign exceeds goal by more than $25,000

Wrapping up their September campaign, the McKenzie Foundation is proud to announce that, thanks to the support from the community, the month-long effort, Early Detection is Music to Our Ears, raised over $75,000 for new gastroenterology equipment.
The campaign’s goal was to raise $50,000 for the new equipment. The equipment bought with the raised money will allow surgeons and specialists at McKenzie Hospital to screen for and treat many conditions, from GERD (Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease) to colon cancer.
With almost $70,000 donated over 72 donors, campaign organizers also raised the money via an online auction and ticket sales to the hospital’s Autumn Benefit.
Via press release, the foundation shared that any money “beyond what was needed will go toward the next project.”
