With it being the eve of Election day, just a quick reminder that you can check what’s on the ballot and where you can find your local polling place online at the Michigan Voter Information Center’s website.
With 30 towns and townships in Sanilac County, there will be several clerks and local offices busy tomorrow, with voting taking place from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and citizens have the right to vote so long as they are in line by 8:00 p.m. When you arrive at the polling place, you will need to sign in before receiving your ballot to mark, and you will be asked to show ID when you check in.
If you don’t have your ID on you, no worries– the poll worker will ask you to sign a form disclosing that you did not have an ID when voting. Acceptable IDs for voting include a Michigan or other state driver’s license, a passport, military or student ID with photo, a tribal identification card or any other federal/state government issued photo ID.
