The Huron County Drug Task Force and the Harbor Beach Police concluded part of a lengthy joint investigation November 16 when they served a search warrant at a Bartlett Street home in Harbor Beach.
Officers on Wednesday found methamphetamine and other evidence of narcotic sales being done in the house, and five of the people in the residence at the time were taken into custody, with a 61-year-old Harbor Beach woman later being released. The others, 56-year-old Harbor Beach resident Tommy Stinson, a man and woman from Deckerville, both age 35, and a 32-year-old Elkton man were arrested.
While Stinson was formally arraigned Thursday on three felony delivery charges related to the Wednesday warrant, the Deckerville pair were turned over to Sanilac County deputies on out of county drug related warrants, and the Elkton man remains lodged at the Huron County Jail at this time. Stinson needs $1,500 cash for his bond, though further charges may be sought against him and the others as the investigation continues.
Also assisting during Wednesday’s search and arrest were patrol officers with the Huron County Sheriff’s Office and a Sanilac County Drug Task Force deputy.
