A Monday compliance sting operation by the Port Huron Police Department found only one establishment selling alcohol to minors.
Assistant Chief Brian Kerrigan noted in a press release that they sent out underage decoys to 15 different restaurants and bars on November 21, with 14 being found in compliance by refusing to sell to the minors.
However, City Limits Tavern, located at 2410 Conner Street in Port Huron, was cited for selling to a minor, with Kerrigan urging businesses to always check ID’s to prevent the use of alcohol by underage minors.
