The Sanilac County Central Dispatch received a 911 call Sunday at 6:43 PM reporting an accident that occurred in Maple Valley Township.
A Polaris Razor had been traveling westbound on Wellman Line Road when the driver suddenly lost control of the ORV. The ORV entered the ditch on the south side of the road and overturned. The driver, a 46 year-old male from Lapeer County, was transported by Marlette EMS to Port Huron McLaren Hospital where he was treated for his injuries.
An initial investigation has revealed that the driver was wearing his seatbelt when the crash occurred. Alcohol does not appear to be a factor involved.
