In addition to approving the spring coaches roster, the Deckerville Community School Board recognized high school teacher and softball coach Christi Pavlovics as the school’s “Friend of the Youth” during Tuesday night’s meeting.
Pavlovics has been at the school for about 27 years, most recently teaching social studies and publication classes. Last June, she celebrated 300 wins as Deckerville’s softball coach, with the goal to increase that win count this coming sports’ season.
Also at the February 28 meeting, the board approved a revised budget for the 2022-’23 fiscal year, with the school’s general fund estimated to stand at almost $2.2 million at the end of June.
Also approved at last night’s meeting was the high school band’s trip to Nashville, Tennessee.
