Despite the county being about three to four months away from having a complete draft of the Master Plan, citizen feedback let officials know that one of the most pressing concerns facing Sanilac County in upcoming years is alternative energy development and what changes, agricultural and otherwise, the county may face if it’s further developed in the area.
In an effort to provide more background and information regarding the subject in the county, local coordinator for the county plan, Lisa Kenny has provided a document covering the topics of wind and solar farming, and how the county hopes to assist townships by creating a guide regarding alternative energy development.
