Bethany Craig of the Caro Post received an award this past Wednesday for Professional Excellence for her investigation of a sexual assault that occurred over 18 years ago.
The suspect was originally arrested in Florida before being extradited to Michigan where they were convicted and received a life sentence. She has been serving at the Caro Post since 2001.
Last year Craig was formally recognized as their 2021 Officer of the Year for her own investigations and work as a protector for child victims.
