Dryden PD says no shots were fired during DV incident

Dryden Township Police report that, despite receiving a call this past Sunday night reporting shouting and shots fired at a Lapeer County residence, the actual situation saw no usage of a firearm at all.
Dispatched around 10:05 to the 4400 block of Rose Lane in Dryden Township, Dryden PD were responding to a domestic violence incident involving a 32-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman. According to a press release, “the caller reported to [the] Lapeer County Central Dispatch that they heard what sounded like gunshots and people yelling.”
With help from the Lapeer County Sheriff’s Office and Metamora Township police, responding officers took the man into custody without incident. After on-scene investigation, it was determined that no firearm was used, nor were there shots fired. The man is currently lodged at the Lapeer County Jail pending his arraignment on charges of Domestic Violence–Assault.
Also assisting at the scene were Almont Police, Michigan State Police, Dryden Township First Responders and Lapeer County EMS.
