A 22-year-old Almont man is in critical condition following a crash early Saturday morning.
The St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office says that dispatch received a call around 1:30 a.m. on April 1 reporting that a 2006 Dodge RAM had gone off the road on Hough Road in Berlin Township and had struck a tree.
Arriving at the scene, the Berlin Township Fire Department was able to extract the man from the truck’s cab, with him being taken to McLaren Lapeer Hospital.
While the investigation is still ongoing, police do believe that speed and alcohol were factors in the crash.
