Lexington Woman’s Life hosts quarter auction to support Historical Society

Lexington Woman’s Life Chapter 927 is hosting a Quarter Auction to benefit the Sanilac County Historical Society. Chapter members will volunteer at the event and also offer $500 in matching funds to the Historical Society.
“Our Woman’s Life Chapter enjoys giving back to our community and we look forward to this fun event that will benefit the Historical Society!” notes Kim Perpignon, Chapter President.
The Quarter Auction is a “fun-raiser” which is being held on April 23, from 3-6m, at the newly-renovated Lakeview Hills Banquet Center, located at 6560 Peck Rd. in Lexington. The doors will open at 2:15pm. The community is invited to this casual event where everyone has the chance to win awesome prizes for as little as just 25 cents! Up for bid will be gift cards for local restaurants & shopping, gas cards, horse & carriage rides, baked goods, mystery bags, items for pets, arts and crafts, and many other items. Bidding will range between 25 cents and $1, depending on the value of the item.
Auction items will be shown one at a time. Those that wish to bid on the item will place the required number of quarters (1-4) in a jar and raise their bid paddle. Numbers will be drawn until they match one of the raised bid paddles. The more paddles you have, the more bids you can place, and the better your chances to win! It’s just that easy and so much fun!
Entrance fee is $5 per person at the door, which includes light refreshments and one bidding paddle. Additional paddles will be available for $5 each. Attendees should bring quarters to make their bids. Additional quarter rolls will be available for purchase. There will also be a cash bar.
All money raised will support the Sanilac County Historical Society. The Historical Society wishes to thank Lexington Woman’s Life Chapter 927 for their help in organizing and hosting the event, plus the offer of $500 in matching funds!
