Sandusky council meets Monday to discuss Jefferson Street Project bids

sandusky-2-2-2

The Sandusky City Council will be meeting next Monday, April 17, to award a work bid for the upcoming Jefferson Street improvement project.
The city received four bids from local contractors for the water main project, with the lowest bid being almost $295,000 and the highest bid being almost $315,000 to complete the work.
Though the council will officially decide what contractor to go with, Townley Engineering, LLC recommends that the council accept the lowest bid, made by Ace-Saginaw, due to prior work done with the city and that work having been done in a timely and high quality fashion.
Also at the Monday meeting, the city council is set to discuss the city’s investments, as well as recognizing and approving local group Thumb Thunder Chickens as a non-profit for the purpose of obtaining charitable gaming licenses.
